Bai was flying through the air, forgetting the world below her. It wasn't the same as before because Zing was with Kenshi, her new travelling buddy. The air flung into her face and she loved the sensation. She opened her mouth to scream but she swallowed a fly in the process. She had only been in the air for a short while but it seemed like forever. She did a few loop the loop and closed her eyes, listening to nothing. When she opened her eyes she saw it. The city of Ba Sing Se. You could clearly see the rings that belonged to the city but you could see the little houses that were inside those safe walls. Bai dived towards the ground and crouched down when she landed. Standing up again, she was standing right in front of Kenshi. "Well Kenshi, Ba Sing Se isn't that much further. Come on." Bai was filled with excitement and she felt like a little girl again, being enthusiastic and happy again. Not needing to worry about things that were happening around her. After a few miles, they reached the walls of Ba Sing Se. Bai looked at Kenshi and shrugged her shoulders. "Now what do we do? How do we get in?" Bai asked, confusion covering her face.

Kenshi felt strange as he aproached Ba sing se. He had never seen the city his father died for. He wondered if some people knew his father there. He wondered if there was anyone who saw him fight or anyone that met him before the fight started. He would have to check that out he thought to himself. Bai was soaring through the air like a bird and she seemd to be enjoying herself. Kenshi was happy he didn't fly with her when she asked. Just seeing it made him shiver. When they arrived at the wall there was nothing there. Not a door or anything. Bai asked how they were supposed to get in, Kenshi had no clue. "Oi!!!!" He screamed as load as he could. There was no response to his call. "I have no idea. Maybe we are on the wrong side?" He said. "Come on!" He yelled at the stone wall. He threw a fire ball at it, still there was no response. "Now I'm truly out of ideas." He said. "This is a load of bollocks." He said in anger. He believed they were on the wrong side of the wall. They would have to walk all the way around which could take them hours.

Kenshi shouted at the wall for a response, but there wasn't one. He even shot a fire ball at the wall and that didn't even get a reply. Kenshi said he was out of ideas and Bai thought for a second. If they walked around it would take them hours and Bai didn't have time to waste. She looked up the side of the wall. It wasn't too high or too low, maybe.. She thought of a plan but Kenshi would properly say no anyway, still worth a try. "Wellif we walked around it would take us hours. The wall isn't that high. Maybe we could.." She paused trying to find the right word to use. "Maybe I could transportate us onto the other side." She thought about her question and just came right out with it. "The only way we could get over now is if I fly us over there. It won't take long and you'll be in the air for seconds. Come on Kenshi, I don't want to walk all the way around."

Kenshi didn't like this, but he knew it had to be done. Flying was the only option here. "All right I will do it. But I'm going to do it my way." He said. In his fight with Bai he shot himself further ahead with his fire bending. He wanted to try that again. He could run up a wall for two or three steps so he would use that as a push to help him up. He ran up the wall a short bit and then pushed himself away. Then he released two giant blasts of fire downwards and he flew higher. He came till just above the wall and he stepped on. It went exactly as he hoped it would. "That was pretty cool." He said. "Come on Bai, lets get going." He said. She would be up here in a minute so he started walking towards the nearest stairway down. He looked over the giant earth kingdom city. It was bigger then any town Kenshi had ever seen. Everywhere were people and the entire city was alive. Kenshi looked to his side and saw something that didn't really make him happy. A legion of earth kingdom soldiers were standing ready to charge. Kenshi knew he was in trouble but didn't really care. "Hiya guys." He said and he started running to the other side of the wall. There he was stopped by another legion. This was going to be a fight. "Bai, a little help here!" He said. He could handle one legion but being locked in as he was Bai's help would be appreciated.

Kenshi agreed to fly but to do it his way. She couldn't blame him but she did want him to try it. He blasted into the air with jets of fire and Bai tapped her foot on the floor impatiently. She knew he was waiting at the top but she wasn't ready to fly yet. Sick of waiting, she opened up her glider and flew into the air. As she landed she could hear her name being called. As she was a few metres away from Kenshi, she ran and gasped at what she saw. Two legions of earth bending soldiers had cut off Kenshi and had now surrounded Bai and him. Kenshi asked for her help and she nodded. Folding her glider into a staff again, she got into her fighting position. Before she could start anything, an earth bender started shooting some rocks at her. She jumped into the air sent a strong wave of air towards him, making him fall over the side. She apologized for pushing him over but then got back to the action. She split the air into half and shot it towards another two warriors making them fall down the stairs. She turned around to see what Kenshi was doing.

Kenshi didn't even see Bai fight the earth benders. He was way too busy fighting himself. Two men charged him with pikes so he drew his sword. The first guy tried to stab him and he sidestepped. Kenshi brought his sword down and cut of the sharp tip of the pike. He put his sword in its sheath and pulled what was left of the pike from the soldier. He smacked him once in the face and then in the ribs with the wooden stick. Then he went for one powerfull strike against the soldiers head which knocked him out. He dropped the stick and drew his sword again. The second guy dropped his pike and started earth bending. He threw two big rocks at Kenshi but he dodged and charged the guy. He jumped and kicked the soldier right of the wall. A third soldier came towards him. This one ranked higher obviously. He made the floor underneath Kenshi rise and he flew high into the air. Kenshi used his jet move to fly towards the soldier and he was going to slash with his sword but when the earth bender made a wall in front of him he quickly changed strategy. He flipped around and jumped up against the newly created wall. He was now just above the earth bender and he released a fire bomb which exploded right underneath the soldier. The power send him flying off the wall. Kenshi got ready for more soldiers to charge him. He felt at home in a fight like this. He had been trained to fight armies like this so he liked testing his strenght against these guys. These soldiers were quite basic. He had met some pretty powerfull earth benders over the years but these guys were nothing. Kenshi enjoyed fighting them and with Bai covering his back this would be an easy fight.

Bai watched as Kenshi fought many earth bending soliders with many techniques. He was really good at fighting against earth benders than he was at fighting her. Another two charge at Bai with spears. She kicked one man in the stomach and then karate chopped his neck, knocking him out. The other one tried to jab her with the spear but she simply sidestepped and snapped the spear. The man ran off down the stairs. A few more fights later and Bai was shattered. She had defeated her legion but wasn't sure about Kenshi. Then before she could rest, a whole load of earth benders appeared. Bai rolled her eyes, I better deal with these then. She thought as she walked towards them. She breathed in and blew out a big gust of air which sent them down the stairs. "Sorry about that." She called down to them. I hope they don't mind being beaten. Bai walked over to Kenshi and smiled. "Well wasn't that fun?" She asked as she layed on the floor.

Kenshi got charged by two earth benders just like before. They were carrying swords instead of pikes. Kenshi used something he hadn't used in a while. He used the special ability of his sword. His father and him used a special metal to make it. Many fire benders used to make weapons like these but now only him and his dad used them. It was a special metal that could hold and resist fire. Simply said, firebenders could set their weapons allight without damaging them. Kenshi hadn't done it in a while but it would be cool to do now. He Made a flame in his hand and he moved it along the sword. It catched the flame and the entire blade was one big fire now. Kenshi saw the warriors flinch for a while but evantually they charged. Kenshi Blocked the strike of the first one with his sword and cut the guy once which set his entire armor a blaze. He ran over to the edge jumped and landed in a tub filled with water. The other soldier was scared of fighting Kenshi but he charged aswell. Kenshi blocked his attack kicked him in the gut and pushed him over the edge of the wall. He landed next to the other guy in the tub with water. Kenshi was having loads of fun fighting these guys but he realised it was taking way too long. He decided he should end the fight quickly. He made a giant line of fire in the middle of the legion of soldiers. They all dodged the line but that wasn't the point. Kenshi made the line spread out and almost all of the soldiers fell over the edge. One was just in front of the line and he was trembling. "Just go." Kenshi said. The guy jumped off the wall himself. "It certainly was." He said to Bai. "We better get out of here though. I doubt that was the entire Ba sing se army." He hoped they wouldn't get too much trouble in the city. Coming in and defeating two legions of soldiers wasn't a good start.

Kenshi said that they should get out of that place and Bai nodded her head. Sure enough it was a little bit fun fighting people but Bai didn't like doing it frequently. Maybe once or twice to save her life but not every day. "Yes, it wasn't a good start to arrive at Ba Sing Se." Bai laughed and walked down the steps. She could see many soldiers on the floor, moaning about their broken bones or bruises. "I'm sorry." She said. As she began to walked off, a man's voice spoke up. "Bai?" it called. She turned around with confusion on her face and saw who it was. It was an old friend of hers who she used to play hide and seek with. She ran over to him and hugged him. "Taeko, I haven't seen you in years. How are you?" She asked, filled with excitement. "Well at the moment you beat me down and I'm on the floor moaning. I'm absolutely fine." Bai laughed and helped him up. "So you're a solidier now." Bai asked. Taeko just nodded. "Well Taeko my good old pal. This is Kenshi, Kenshi this is Taeko." She smiled and hoped they would get along. "Well Taeko do you want to show us Ba Sing Se again?" Bai asked. Taeko smiled, "with pleasure." He answered and walked off. Bai began to follow but looked back, "come on Kenshi."

Kenshi didn't think it was very smart teaming up with the same guy they just beat up. He didn't get why the guy agreed to help them out in the first place. Kenshi didn't really trust him, he never really trusted earth benders. Bai seemed to trust the guy though so he went along. It was always the trouble he found in traveling in a group. There was always one you didn't trust. They walked on untill Kenshi saw something. It was a wanted poster, something you saw in every city. But the only difference with this perticular one was that he knew the person that was on the poster. He looked different. He had a scar over his eye and a big bushy beard even though it used to be very short and neat. But he recognised the man on the poster, how could he not recognise his own father? He walked over to it and ripped the poster off the wall. "What is he wanted for?" He asked the earth bender. He couldn't believe he was even asking it. His father was dead. He died protecting the city. Kenshi waited four weeks for him, he had to be dead. If he wasn't, Kenshi needed to find him no matter what.

As they were walking through the city, Kenshi had found a wanted poster. He showed Taeko and asked what he was wanted for. Taeko took the poster off of Kenshi and examined it further. "I'm not sure what he was wanted for. But I think the king has him in prison now. These should have been taken down." Taeko answered. Bai looked confused. She didn't know what this wanted poster was for but the man on it, looked a lot like Kenshi. Maybe they were related or something. Bai thought. "Well Taeko, I forgot to apologize for knocking you down the stairs." She laughed and Taeko laughed too. "Well where to now?"

Kenshi couldn't believe it. His father was alive and he had been imprisoned. Although he was sure that he wasn't in anymore. His father had been in so many prisons there weren't any that could keep him inside for longer then a month. Kenshi had to find his father. If he was still in prison that was easy, if he was not it would prove more challenging. "I would like to check out the palace, I hear its marevelous." He said. Then there was a huge explosion which made the ground shake. It came straight from the palace. Kenshi knew his father was alive now. He was the only person Kenshi knew was powerfull enough to do such a thing. "That came from the palace, Bai were moving." He said as he started sprinting towards the castle. He hoped he could reach his dad before he got caught again or left the city.

Kenshi suggested that they go to the palace because he heard it was marvellous. Bai nodded. "Okay then, Taeko could you take us to-" She was interupted by a huge explosion which made the ground shake. Bai didn't know if it was an earth quake or not but Kenshi started running. She ran after him and Taeko stopped. "Sorry Bai but I cannot follow you. If I get caught helping you, I might be in trouble." A tear fell down Bai's cheek. "So I guess this is goodbye." They shared a quick hug. "There will be other times Bai and you know where to find me if you need me." Taeko said and he ran off. Bia started off again following Kenshi. "So why are we heading towards that huge explosion then?" She asked full of curiousity.

Kenshi ran on as Bai and her friend said goodbye. Kenshi still didn´t trust him but he seemed to be really close with Bai. When Bai catched up they were half way to the palace and he could already see the smoke rise from the building. Bai asked why they were headed there. ¨Becuase there is only one man I know that could cause an explosion like that. And untill a few minutes ago I thought that man was dead.¨ He said. Sadly they weren´t going to reach the palace without a fight. A legion of soldiers appeared in front of them. Kenshi shot a fire bomb in the middle hoping he could crash their formation but only a few got hit and the rest remained standing. He drew his sword and charged the legion. He stabbed slashed and bended untill there were only a few soldiers left. They charged Bai and he hoped she could deal with them fast because they had to move on.

Kenshi exclaimed why they were heading to the Palace. She shrugged her shoulders and kept running. When they were nearing the palace, a legion of earth warriors appeared. Kenshi fended off a few but some more were heading for Bai. She made an air whip and whipped a few off course but there was still two left charging. Bai jumped into the air and spun around, creating a small tornado. The tornado carried to two earth benders away and dumped them in a nearby bush. Bai ran and ran until they made it to the gates. "Allow me." Bai said as she took a big deep breath in and blew the doors of their hinges. "After you." She said to Kenshi as they entered a room.

Kenshi and Bai entered the hall of the palace, and what they saw was a masacre. There were burned and cut soldiers everywhere. There was a giant hole in the east wall which must have been the explosion they heard. In the next room Kenshi saw much the same. He was sure now though, his father was alive and very pissed. He always knew his father could get very violent when he was angry, but this was something else. He killed at least forty men and without hesitation. Kenshi looked through the wall and saw a trail of fire leading to the city walls. His father would have gotten over them by now. Kenshi knew they had to get out of the city aswell. He was a fire bender and had a sword and they had fought soldiers before so Kenshi knew they would be blamed. "Come on Bai. We have to get out of here now." He said. It may have sounded cold, but if they didn't leave now they would never see the sun again.

Bai was horrified by what she saw. There were deads bodies everywhere. She didn't have a clue who caused this but they were very angry. There was a giant hole on one of the walls and some small fires that were spotted around the room. Whoever did this was a fire bender. Maybe it was to do with the accusations that the Earth kingdom killed fire lord Zuko but she wasn't so sure. Kenshi said to Bai that they needed to get out now. Even if he did say it coldly, she knew he was right. She turned around and ran to the doors. As she exited the bomb site, she got another thing coming. There were earth benders surrounding them. She didn't know what to do until a man stepped forward and started to speak. "Stop right there. Put your hands above your head otherwise we would have to use force." The man said. He looked like a general or something because he looked different to the other soldiers. Bai turned to look at Kenshi. "I have a plan but you might not like it. It involves you flying with me."

Kenshi would have flown with Bai if he was sure it was going to work but how could he be? There was an army of earth benders there and even though they were going to be tough to hit in the air there was no way they could get out of there without a distraction. He knew Bai needed to get out of there though. She was important as one of the last two air benders. Minus the avatar she was the only one left. Kenshi though was expendable. "Bai, get out of here." He said. "I'll get out through the wall here." He said so loud the entire army could hear him. He hoped they would follow him one Bai flew away. He ran towards the general first though and he kicked him with fire underneath his foot. The guy flew some metres away and the army was outraged. "Get out of here, I'll be right behind you." He wispered to Bai. Then he let go of one giant fire spray towards the army to piss them off even more.

Kenshi told Bai to get out of there. She was surprised. They hadn't been travelling together for long and already Kenshi was sacrificing his life. "No I'm not leaving without you." She said stubbornly. She whispered to Zing to get out of there and to go somewhere safe. Zing did as he was told and flew through air. Kenshi started to kick out. He kicked the general with his foot on fire, th guy flew for a few metres and the looks he got from the warriors. He told her again to get out of there and that he would be right behind. She stood her ground. "No I'm not leaving without you. We stand and fight together." She smiled at him and sent an air whip across some of the soldiers. They all fell down, but more kept charging. She created an air ball and shot it at another few soldiers that were coming towards her. The numbers had gone down but there was still quite a lot of them. She created a little tornado again and swung it with her staff towards the remaining soldiers. Some fell down, the others ran. "Come on Kenshi, this is our chance to escape." She said as she headed towards the wall.

Kenshi was amazed how powerfull Bai was. Seeing her defeat the legions of soldiers single handedly made him wonder how she couldn't have defeated him not so long ago. When Bai said it was time to go he ran for the hole and sprinted towards the city walls. There weren't any soldiers there luckily. When they arrived at the wall he used the same trick he did when they entered the city and there he waited for Bai. She would be there within seconds so it didn't really matter. He looked over the land scape hoping to see a sign of his father. Of course there wasn't any, else he wouldn't have stayed clear from the fire nation all of his life. He was sure though, his father was alive. All he wondered about was why he was in prison. There had to be some sort of mistake. Kenshi would get to the bottom of this, one way or the other.

Kenshi used the same trick he did when he got over the wall. He would properly wait for her on the top. She made sure she had her sack on her back. Bai unclipped her staff so it turned into a glider and jumped into the air. She could hear the cries of the warriors from below and heard a whistling noise. She turned around in the air to find a bolder heading straight for her. It was too late to move out of the way or to react so the boulder hit her and she fell. She was closing her eyes as if going into unconsicious. Her eyes opened when she was about to hit the ground. She lifted up her glider and crash landed on the wall. "Wow, that was rough." Bai said as she looked at Kenshi. "Come on then, we better not stay here any longer." She said as she jumped off the wall and used the wall to slower her fall. She landed with her feet on the ground. She looked around to see if she could see Zing anywhere and there he was. A little black dot in the middle of the sky. As he landed, he ran over to Bai and sat on her shoulder. "Good to see you too Zing."

Kenshi jumped down the wall once he saw Bai appear. When she came down her pet returned to her and Bai greeted it. "I think you and I should steer clear from Ba sing se for a while." He said. They had defeated their armies, they would be accused of blowing up their palace. Them returning there didn't seem like such a good idea. Kenshi didn't know where they were going to go but the road was oped once again. Kenshi wondered where the road would lead his father. Even more he wondered if their roads would ever cross.
